I really like this Shaker-style chair from Design Within Reach.  Named the Salt Chair because it is as fundamental as a salt shaker for the kitchen table.  Slim profile makes it good for tight spaces and simple classic styling means it pairs with anything.  I’d love to have a line of these on one of side of the table and a bench on the other (when we get around to redoing our kitchen…)
